2008 Business of the Year Award!
Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce Announces Recipient

At the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner held on Friday, February 1, 2008, Mark Twain St. Joseph’s was honored by being awarded 2008 Business of the Year! There were over 140 members of the business community in attendance, including 19 from the hospital leadership, medical staff and Hospital Foundation. “This award means so much for us” said Hospital President Feliciano Jiron. “All of our staff has been working so hard to provide the benefit to the community that our neighbors deserve and expect from a community hospital. This award recognizes the employees, medical staff and our volunteer organizations for this effort and validates that the community has seen the changes we have been implementing”. In addition to the glass trophy and plaque from the Chamber, the hospital also received Certificates of Recognition from Assemblyman Tom Berryhill and State Senator Dave Cox and a Distinguished Achievement Accommodation from Lt. Governor John Garamendi (from Mokelumne Hill).
