At the Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers dinner recently held at Saddle Creek, Kathy Dodge, the newly installed Foundation president, announced the initiation of a $1 million fund raising campaign to support Mark twain St. Joseph's Hospital's purchase of Digital Mammography equipment. 

Dodge also announced that severall lead gifts had already been received to kick off the campaign.  Mrs. Dick Barger, a founder of the Foundation and Chair of the campaign to replace the hospital in the '80's, an anonymous donor and newly installed officer, Jim Dalton, have already come forth and given gifts that totaled $500,000.  "We are so fortunate to be a community that understands the improtance of having a thriving health care facility and is willing to support it so generously," stated Ms. Dodge. 

Ms. Dodge highlighted that this campaign is aligned with the hospital's initiatives to improve women's health care in Calaveras County.
