Here are a few quick facts about us: Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital is a not-for-profit, 48-bed general acute care hospital serving all of Calaveras County. Established in 1951 as Mark Twain District Hospital and centrally located in San Andreas, the hospital is partnered with Catholic Healthcare West to further strengthen this rural hospital to meet future community needs. The hospital is supported by 45 active physicians practicing in 24 specialties and over 300 employees. At a recent hospital Quality Summit held in Los Angeles, Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital received four Quality Achievement Awards…more than any other hospital!
Patient Satisfaction is a predominate focus of each of our employees and medical staff. Among all 42 Catholic Healthcare West hospitals, Mark Twain St. Joseph’s ranked third for FY 2008!
When you join Mark Twain St. Joseph’s staff as a physician, you’ll find a variety of medical experiences and a broad scope of services.
