During the winter season, Bear Valley Ski Resort hosts various professional snow skiing/boarding events. Bass Tournaments are held at Lake Melones. The six golf courses in the County offer tournaments almost every week of the year. The Mokelumne and Stanislaus rivers offer great fishing and white water rafting and kayaking. Several alpine likes are available for fishing and boating or just relaxing and enjoying the day.
Entertainment
Ironstone Vineyards winery and entertainment complex offers tours and tasting. Tours feature an aging cavern, landscaped gardens and an amphitheatre where the summer concert series hosts top name entertainment.
Ancient subterranean worlds are hidden throughout the rolling foothills. Stand in awe of the dazzling crystalline formations; explore winding passages and underground lakes on guided adventure trips; or take the plunge for an exhilarating 165-foot rappel or ¼ mile zip- line ride.
Ever wonder what it might be like to star in your own western? Round up your friends, family or co-workers and head on over to Millerosa’s. Wonderful costumes are provided, as well as easy to learn scripts and a beautiful set. Your “Western” is then filmed, edited and copied for you to take home.
