To choose this community is to embrace a lifestyle physicians accepted in years gone by. We are autonomous rural physicians unencumbered by managed care and RVU’s. Our patients are our neighbors and our responsibilities to them extend beyond our office walls. Grocery store consults are routine, as are thank-you gifts of home grown produce and locally produced wine. This is the life many medical school applicants secretly hope still exist.
